About Benso Oil Palm Plantation Limited
Benso Oil Palm Plantation Limited (BOPP) operates oil palm plantations and a processing mill in the Western Region of Ghana. The company cultivates oil palm on its own estates and also purchases fresh fruit bunches from surrounding smallholder farmers, known as outgrowers. BOPP produces crude palm oil and palm kernel oil, which are sold to processors and manufacturers in the domestic market. The company is a subsidiary of Wilmar Africa Limited, itself part of the Wilmar International Group, one of the world's largest agribusiness firms. BOPP has been listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange for several decades and is one of the few publicly traded plantation companies in the country.
